OWLPEN has long been recognised as one of England's most romantic locations. Today the Tudor Manor House, Owlpen Manor (1450-1616), stands within a formal garden of magnificent yews and at the centre of a clutch of beautiful medieval and traditional buildings, many of which have been recently converted into exceptional Cotswold holiday cottages. The whole estate, steeped in a thousand years of history, forms its own remote and picturesque wooded valley under the edge of the Cotswold hills in the south-west of England.
We are delighted to be able to offer a variety of holiday cottages across the Manor's grounds, which collectively can accomodate up to 35 people. Several of the cottages are listed and therefore very old, the theme here is rustic rather than development! In addition there is a restaurant which, dependent on the time of year, can be hired as an entirety or simply for a quiet meal for a group.
The Cottages
Each cottage retains much of its character from yester-year and are maintained under the person control of the owners, who are keen to retain the olde-worlde charm that is 'Owlpen'! The cottages are independently assesed and have achieved 4 Star rating under the Visit Britain guidelines (except Tithe Barn, 3 Star). Owlpen has proved an ideal venue for private parties, family reunions and other arranged tours, with customers travelling all over the world to enjoy the unique enviornment.

The Estate
The estate provides an exciting backdrop for groups wishing to get away from it all. There are many Cotswold towns nearby for the determined shopper, otherwise the locality is perfect for walking and simply taking in the wonderful countryside, arguably the finest in the Cotswolds.
