Garden Cottage is a sweet holiday cottage located adjacent to the wonderful Shilbrook Manor, itself a listed building built around the 1860's. The property has undergone a complete overhaul and today provides a high standard of self catering accommodation whilst overlooking a simply stunning garden of two acres. The cottage is situated on the edge of the hamlet of Black Bourton, which has history dating back many years, and is within easy reach of popular spots such as Burford, Woodstock and Lechlade on Thames. This romantic hideaway is ideal for a couple who want to escape to the Cotswolds.
The owner, who is a garden designer, is also a keen horticulturalist very happy to sell plants (when and where possible!) in addition to eggs and home made preserves.

Black Bourton is a medieval hamlet known for its murals in the church as well as the infamous 'black' friars who lived next to Shilbrook Manor. Within 1/2 mile of the cottage is The Vines, a locally reknowned and popular restaurant and pub. Several more pubs in Bampton (2 miles), famous as the home of Morris Dancing. With riding stables 3 miles and golf 5 miles away this is a great spot for relaxation or to tour the Cotswolds. Oxford (20 miles), Cheltenham or Stratford for an easy day out.
