Charlie's Cottage is a wonderful mix of old and new and if you are looking for the quintessenital English Country Cottage you need look no further. This lovely, cosy thatched cottage, which dates back to the Civil War era of the 1650s', has so much charm inside that we simply fell in love with it when we inspected it. Situated in a very quiet location within one of the northern Cotswolds most beautiful villages - Epwell, the cottage enjoys real tranquility and yet great access to the surrounding countryside. The village pub is sure to be a real appeal to those who enjoy the idea of a 'local pint', while the adventure playground is a firm favourite with the children. Internally the owners have mixed old features with new style with imagination to create a very cosy and welcoming holiday cottage that oozes charm and appeal. Collectively the cottage has so much to offer that we see it appealing to both families as much as it will to the 'weekend breakers'. Give it try and see for yourself!!

Epwell ('Eoppa's Well' - anglo Saxon for Epwell) is based in the northern Cotswolds approximately 7 miles from the busy market towns of Banbury and Shipston on Stour, is some 700ft above sea level. It enjoys commanding wonderful views of Yarn Hill and the Epwell Hills. Stone built cottages - some still thatched - mingle among the village, while the famous circular lane (on which Charlie's Cottage sits) passes around the village bearing names of trades long gone. Cross the stream near to the house, leave the green behind, climb the hill and there stands the church, proud above the square with its old village school now the village hall. The road out passes The Chandlers Arms and Epwell Woods, joining the main Banbury to Shipston road some one mile from the village. Very convenient for golf at the stunning Brailes course, with the M40, Stratford upon Avon and Warwick all within easy reach making it an ideal base to tour the region
