Shopping in the Wye Valley
While shopping in the Wye Valley you are sure to have a fantastic experience. With many towns to visit like Ross-on-wye Monmouth, Chepstow and the forest of dean you will be spoilt for choice. Monmouth
If you love your food then take a visit to Le Gourmet. Situated on church street you will find the local butcher, Duncan Wills. Very popular with the locals he sells only the best quality meat bought from local named breeds and farms. While visiting his shop you will also be able to purchase homemade porkpies and faggots and many other delicatessen items,all of which have been made on the premises.
Continue across the street you will be able to visit the local greengrocer Phil Munday. At the Munday and Jones Greengrocers you will find nothing other than local seasonal fruit and veg, local milk and butter, cream, honey, preserves pickles and much more, all of which will be all weighed and wrapped in the old traditional way.
Monmouth has plenty of shops that cover a wide range of items. Visit the Salt And Pepper shop where you will find all kinds of kitchen and cookwear and plenty of gifts for you to browse through, and if that’s not enough there is a courtyard clothes shop which sells all the fashion trends from top designers.
The cotton Angel is another shop which sells beautiful gifts. You will also find traditional home crafts for your knitting and dressmaking items.
Forest of Dean
When visiting the Forest of Dean you will in know doubt be taken back when calling in at the Harts Barn. The Hearts Barn is a Flower and Crafts centre which lies in the forest. The barn is an old hunting lodge and is one of the oldest properties in the forest of dean, built by William Duke of Normandy, to keep his hounds in when he came to hunt in the forest. The craft centre has some beautiful shops, including a tea shop so you to be able to take the weight off your feet and take in the picturesque settings. Around the Harts Barn you will find other buildings that include a blacksmith,potteries and is a principal centre for dried flowers.
Taurus Crafts will cater for all you family whatever their age.You will be able to discover your own creativity and see a fantastic range of colourful crafts on display.The centre also has a café’ serving only the best wholesome healthy foods.
Ross On Wye
Located in Ross-On-Wye the Labels Outlet shopping Centre has a shop till you drop feel to it, and has everything you and your family needs. With plenty of departments for him & her, kids, furnishing and more you are sure to find that something you are looking for and not only that, at discounted prices too. As we all know shopping is thirsty and hungry work, so Inside the shopping outlet is a new food hall which has a seafood and salad bar and many other treats to work those tastebuds.
