Bath is a beautiful city which is best explored on foot. There are many organised walks, including the famous Bath Ghost Tour. The majority of the walks are available daily and there’s no need to book, just turn up. If you contact local tour providers most will provide a tailored walk just for you (minimum numbers apply). Ghost walks of Bath
The famous ghost tour takes you through the ancient and mystical streets of the Roman City of Bath. This tour has been going since 1974 and will take you through the real life stories of ghosts and haunting, and the tragic going on-s of the past. The Ghost tours operate on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights throughout the year. The tour starts at 8pm outside the Garricks Head pub next to the Theatre Royal. Unless you are a party of 10 or more there is no need to book, just pay the guide on your chosen night.
Parties pre-booking will be charged a minimum £70.

Jane Austen Walking Guide
This tour will take you to the place of where Jane lived, walked, visited and shopped, and you will also discover some of Bath's fascinating history, culture and beautiful architecture. See the houses the settings for Jane Austen novels Northanger Abbey and Persuasion within a mile radius of the Jane Austen Centre. The Tour operates all year round on a Saturday, Sunday and the Bank Holidays excluding Christmas, and start at 11.00am and last for approximately 1½ hours. There are additional summer tours in July and August on a Friday and Saturday evening at 4pm. The tours leave from outside the K.C Change in the Abbey Churchyard

Bizarre Bath – The Comedy Walk
You will be laughing yourself silly when you join in the celebrated stroll which takes an obscure and irreverent look at the city of Bath. The Mayor's Guides FREE Walking Tours
Free walking tours of the City of Bath. These tours are provided free of charge and run on a daily basis (Sunday - Friday 10.30 & 14.00, Sat 10.30). The guided tours leave from outside the Abbey Churchyard entrance to the Pump Room. There are extra walks from May to September additional on a Tuesday and Friday evening at 7pm. The tours last approximately 2 hours.
No pre-booking necessary for individuals, but groups of 15 or more should pre book at least 4 weeks in advance.
